Privacy Policy
Version 2.0 — effective July 22, 2026.
Introduction
This policy explains how Love Album processes data relating to its collaborative event albums. It is intended for album owners, their guests and website visitors.
Data controller
Love Album — Farid Rehila, Chemin Falconnier 20, 1260 Nyon, Switzerland — contact@love-album.com — +41 77 80 90 827.
Data and roles
We process the owner’s account and order data, event information, and photos, videos where included in the selected plan, metadata and any contact details submitted by guests. We also process technical and audience-measurement data.
The owner decides who is invited and which content is contributed to their album. Love Album acts as controller for operating the platform and its own purposes; the owner must ensure that they have an appropriate basis to invite people and share their content.
Purposes and legal bases
We process data to create and provide the album, ensure access and security, prevent misuse, respond to requests and process payment. Our bases are performance of the contract, our legitimate interest in securing and improving the service, applicable legal obligations and, for non-essential analytics, your consent.
Album retention, archiving and deletion
A free album is retained for 1 month after the event date, or after its creation if no event date is provided. A paid Classic album is retained for 3 months; Premium and Deluxe albums are retained for 6 months, after the event date.
We email the album owner reminders 30 days and 7 days before archiving.
Free plan
Guests may upload an unlimited number of photos. Until the album is upgraded to a paid plan, persistent viewing and original-quality downloads are limited to 20 photos. Photos beyond that limit remain stored but cannot be downloaded without unlocking and are subject to the free-album retention period.
Deletion cycle
Lifecycle: active → notice → read-only (photos remain viewable; uploads and downloads are disabled) → final and irreversible deletion of the files and associated metadata.
Effective date and existing albums
This policy applies to albums created on or after July 22, 2026. For albums created before that date, we will email the owner at least 3 months before any deletion.
Processors and transfers
We use Backblaze B2 for file storage, Brevo for transactional email, Stripe for payment and PostHog for analytics. These providers receive only the data needed for their services.
Some providers may process data outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area. Where required, we put in place applicable safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure or portability, object to certain processing and withdraw consent to analytics. Email contact@love-album.com stating the album and your request; we may verify your identity and respond within the time limits set by applicable law. You may also complain to the competent authority, including the CNIL in France or the FDPIC in Switzerland.
Where the GDPR applies, we normally respond within one month of receiving the request, subject to legally permitted extensions.
Payment and refund
Payments are one-off: there is no subscription or automatic renewal. The 30-day money-back guarantee applies subject to the conditions provided at purchase. It is additional to, and does not replace or limit, any mandatory withdrawal right that may apply; early performance of a digital service may require express agreement under applicable law.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including access controls and secure communications. No system is entirely risk-free.
Changes
We will publish material changes on this page and, where necessary, notify owners by email.
